job summary
the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily functions of the human resources (hr) department, encompassing staff hiring, interviewing, benefits administration, leave management, and enforcement of company policies and practices.
key responsibilities
* serve as a primary point of contact for hr policies, procedures, and programs
* recruit staff, including sourcing, screening resumes, interviewing, creating offer letters, and onboarding new personnel
* coordinate on-boarding and termination processes
* monitor staff compliance with wage/hour labor laws
* manage the employee hris system
* coordinate benefits, including periodic communication with insurance and benefit vendors for renewals and open enrollment
* ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
* conduct hr training sessions with staff, including managers and supervisors
* perform other duties as assigned
required skills & qualifications
* bilingual in english (required)
* strong knowledge of labor laws
* proficiency in microsoft suite and windows os
* epicor experience preferred
* webex and webex teams experience preferred
* able to work collaboratively as part of a dependable team, demonstrating business maturity, enthusiasm, integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
education & experience
* bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience (preferred)
* a minimum of five years' experience in human resources (required)
