position overview
we are seeking an experienced welding engineer to support welding operations and process development at our hofusan facility. This role will focus on welding quality, process optimization, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement to support stable mass production and future business growth.

key responsibilities
• develop, optimize, and standardize welding processes including mig, tig, brazing, and related methods.
• prepare welding procedures, parameters, and work instructions.
• support production teams with welding troubleshooting and technical guidance.
• conduct weld validation, qualification, and inspection activities.
• monitor welding equipment, consumables, and process stability.
• collaborate with quality and manufacturing teams on root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• lead productivity, scrap reduction, and cost improvement projects.
• review engineering drawings and product requirements for weld feasibility.
• ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company welding standards.
• provide operator training and technical support when needed.

qualifications
education
• bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, welding engineering, materials engineering, or related field
professional experience
• 5+ years of welding engineering or metal fabrication experience.
• strong knowledge of welding processes, metallurgy, and welding quality systems.
• automotive or industrial manufacturing experience preferred.
skills
• ability to read engineering drawings and gd&t.
• strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• knowledge of aws / iso welding standards.
• good communication and teamwork skills.
• english communication skills required.

• aws certification such as cwi / cwe preferred.
• experience with robotic welding or automated welding systems.
• chinese language skills are a plus.
• experience in automotive supplier environment preferred.
