job description
you will be responsible for managing the development of marketing strategy and programs to maximize customer demand and sales growth for rockwell automation's new energy and chemical segments. The position reports to the global industry strategy and marketing director for process industries and collaborates with multiple internal organizations and professionals at various levels globally, including: regional sales & marketing, industry teams, business units, and the marketing function.
summary of responsibilities
1. develop strategies with the global industry team, regional marketing, marketing communications, and strategy/marketing director of process industries to drive sales and profit for the new energy and chemical markets. This involves extensive knowledge of the industry, customer needs, market trends, segmentation, and external environmental factors.
2. partner with key stakeholders to leverage qualitative and quantitative research methods to understand, articulate, and prioritize the needs and opportunities of industry and strategic customers.
3. establish and maintain relationships with ra business units, sales, solutions, and services to guide solution development and deployment.
4. collaborate with other industry smms to identify common customer needs across industries to enable faster market solutions and thought leadership.
5. manage industry proof points, including campaign materials, collateral for trade conferences, and sales enablement support such as demos and sales materials, by developing a thorough understanding of rockwell automation’s technology, solutions, and services.
6. oversee industry budget management and reporting.
7. coordinate with portfolio marketing to grow market share through major project launches across regions.
8. partner to enhance the product portfolio considering regional customer needs, pricing, supply chain, and regulatory factors.
9. assist in developing the industry marketing strategy (msp) and business strategy review (bsr) to align with company horizons and opportunities.
10. engage with customers directly and indirectly to build relationships and identify future trends and investment opportunities.
experience and education requirements
1. bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering; an mba is advantageous.
2. 5-10 years of marketing experience in industry marketing, end user/oem marketing, or strategy development roles.
3. extensive experience in the target industries.
