a day in the life
assembly and packaging knowledge.
designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling.
designs arrangement of machines within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout.
designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.
adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.
may incorporate inspection and test requirements into the production plan.
inspects performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify their efficiency, and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality.
develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques.
provides guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
be part of a team that applies its expertise and knowledge to develop, implement and maintain method and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts, components, sub‐assemblies and final assemblies.
using your technical expertise, you will estimate manufacturing cost, determine time standards and make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines.
you will add value and expertise to the manufacturing site by identifying cost reduction and yield improvement opportunities.
solve problems where analysis of a situation is required in order to meet the requirements of the customer.
uses problem analysis to help in developing new process and procedures.
provide analysis of data in support of product and process improvements.
job duties
develop and improve manufacturing processes based on production demand.
establish and maintain takt time, yield, scrap, and oee targets.
support new process launches and continuous production improvements.
troubleshoot and provide rapid response to manufacturing process issues.
lead cost reduction and quality improvement initiatives.
support implementation and sustainment of roe and resideo operating system tools.
ensure compliance with quality, hse, and iso management systems.
supervise and support technician development, including mttr performance goals.
promote safety, standardized work, and continuous improvement practices.
ensure preventive maintenance plans are implemented and followed in assigned areas.
fixed‐term contract (6 months)
you must have
+1 year of experience in electronic manufacturing or high‐volume manufacturing environments.
strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, process development, and continuous improvement methodologies.
intermediate to advanced english level preferred (able to participate in meetings, reports, and technical communication).
experience leading at least 2 continuous improvement or cost reduction projects with measurable results.
