Overview
we're seeking a software architect with a passion for low-code platforms—particularly appian to play a key role in shaping innovative solutions for our clients. In this role, you'll lead new engagements, guide technical discussions, and ensure our solutions consistently exceed client expectations. We're looking for a driven, technically strong professional with excellent business acumen who thrives in an agile environment.
responsibilities
design scalable and secure appian architectures across multiple applications
translate complex business requirements into well-architected appian designs, including functional and non-functional aspects
define and enforce appian best practices, development standards, and ci/cd pipelines
lead technical design workshops and architecture reviews
mentor development teams and support delivery execution across agile projects
requirements
7+ years in appian delivery, with at least 3 years in an architect or lead role
strong hands-on professional development experience with java
expert in appian architecture, governance, performance tuning, and scaling
expert knowledge of appian core features: sail, records, sites, expression rules, interfaces, and process models
proven experience designing enterprise-scale appian applications, including integrations with external systems (rest/soap, databases, identity providers)
strong understanding of appian devops practices, environments, and version control
strong capabilities in understanding client needs and crafting tailored solutions
traceable experience with technical solution design, backlog creation, including detailed technical requirements covering functional and non-functional requirements
strong background in providing accurate estimations
demonstrable experience with best practices and design patterns when designing distributed systems, systems integrations and microservices
experience working in the development and integration of large-scale solutions involving multiple technologies
hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as azure, aws, or gcp
strong knowledge of ci/cd and devops best practices
exceptional communication skills (english) and executive-level presentation skills
capability of understanding business processes and consulting client organisations
high-quality organizational and leadership skills
experience in planning and driving professional projects in an agile environment
a technical mindset paired with outstanding attention to detail
bonus skills
appian certified senior developer / lead developer
good knowledge of agile methodologies (scrum)
experience using team collaboration tools
experience in the health industry and data structures such as nemesis and/or hl7
education
