as a software engineer manager you will define, design and implement the architecture and technological solution defined by the business area and product leader; working together with internal and external teams. The tech lead aims to develop optimal solutions, and provide the necessary support to guarantee its availability and correct operation.
* design, develop and maintain applications to solve customer problems and innovate viva’s technology to support both business and customer needs.
* work with product managers, analysts, and ui/ux to solve problems and design and implement new features.
* manage communication and prioritization with development partners, guaranteeing coding standards and proper documentation.
* design & develop restful apis that integrate with viva’s systems and third-party software.
* improve backend batch and stream processing software
* monitor production solutions and resolve issues with your team
what we look for in you:
* fluent in english (required), and spanish (required)
* bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science or a related field.
* experience managing teams and designing solutions.
* experience building and consuming restful apis in a microservices architecture.
* experience in cross-functional teams management to deliver customer experiences and digital
* experience with agile product development and agile management platforms (jira).
* practical knowledge of sql and/or nosql database model design and query optimization.
* strong software engineering practices like unit testing, pr reviews, design documentation and monitoring.
* self-organized and self-motivated. Resilient in the face of obstacles.
* works well in a team. Seeks to support other tech and nontech team members.
* ownership of the team’s goals and work. Committed to get the work done.
* mindset to identify opportunities for innovation, and the initiative to experiment with new tools and processes.
* desirable experience with cloud platforms like aws, gcp or azure
