Job description

the role focuses on analyzing and implementing product or machinery designs to optimize manufacturing processes, proposing and evaluating equipment processes, directing design development, and maintaining regular contact with external partners. The candidate will provide leadership to a small group of technical employees and may evaluate or monitor expenditures for processes and equipment.

* analyze and implement product or machinery designs for best manufacturing methods.
* propose and evaluate equipment processes within assigned area.
* direct the design, development, and improvement of manufacturing processes.
* maintain regular contact with partners outside the work group.
* provide direction to a small group of technical employees.
* evaluate or monitor expenditures for processes and/or equipment.

this role manages continuous improvement projects, ensures robust machine controls and it integration, and provides expert-level troubleshooting for allen‑bradley, siemens, and fanuc plcs, fanuc robots, and vision keyence and cognex vision systems. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with leadership skills, fluent english communication, and the ability to drive operational excellence.


key responsibilities

* establish and enforce programming standards, documentation practices, and safety compliance.
* balance priorities between production support and project execution.


technical responsibilities

* support and integrate fanuc robots (tp programming, safety zones, handshakes with plcs).
* configure and maintain siemens systems.
* implement and troubleshoot vision systems (cognex in‑sight/visionpro, keyence).
* read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams, and ladder logic.
* ensure robust it integration using industrial protocols (ethernet, profibus, profinet, etc.).
* support cnc machine interfaces and data collection systems.


project & continuous improvement

* drive throughput improvements, reduce downtime, and enhance system reliability.
* collaborate with cross‑functional teams (me, maintenance, it, quality, operations).


other responsibilities

* develop and document requirements for automotive systems design.
* design and manage key strategic interfaces within systems to enable component reuse and consistency with standard methodologies.
* oversee requirements development with other activities.
* provide support to specialists for root cause analysis.
* expertly capture and analyze empirical data.
* design tests to efficiently find opportunities for design improvements.
* stay on top of industry trends, technologies, and standard methodologies.
* identify and document system vulnerabilities, craft mitigation action plans, and track corrective actions.
* on site: full‑time on‑site work required.
* availability to work rotating shifts on a 4×3 schedule.


required skills

* related degrees: mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics engineering, or related engineering field.
* 2–3 years of experience in similar positions.
* upper‑intermediate or conversational english.
* knowledge and programming of fanuc painting robot models p700, p500, p20, m2000, m710ia; paint pro software; automotive painting process; combustion systems.

required qualifications

* bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics engineering or related field.
* 3+ years of experience in similar position.
* intermediate english level.
* experience with plcs from siemens, allen bradley, fanuc brands (programming and troubleshooting).
* experience with vision systems (keyence, cognex).
