Principal activities:
as a member of the finance team, your main responsibility will be to act as a coordinator within the shared services center, especially with the accounts payable group. Reporting to the ap manager, the coordinator will act as a team leader and change agent in the current transformation of the finance group. Your responsibilities include:
1. coordinating, supervising, and organizing all activities of the accounts payable team responsible for us & canadian entities, comprising 22 members.
2. leading the implementation of new automation tools for invoice entry processes at operational and change management levels.
3. standardizing practices and processes across the team to achieve best practices and meet internal control standards.
4. developing governance mechanisms to identify departmental issues, including creating monitoring tools and collaborating with other departments.
5. monitoring and presenting performance indicators for departmental evaluation.
6. managing projects aimed at process optimization and service improvements for suppliers and internal clients.
7. ensuring quality by reviewing team analyses and accounting entries, and questioning existing methods.
your skills and competencies
* bachelor's degree in business management, accounting, or finance.
* knowledge of general accounting is an asset.
* bilingual in spanish and english.
* knowledge of sap is an asset.
* 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, including personnel management.
* strong communication, interpersonal, and change management skills.
* leadership, team spirit, autonomy, and initiative.
* excellent organization, planning, and priority management skills.
* analytical skills and good risk management abilities.
