Job description:
we are seeking a communications specialist to support our internal and external communication efforts in mexico. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career to gain hands-on experience in corporate communications within the insurance industry.
as a communications specialist, you will provide support for country-specific requests, including association events, regulatory communications, functional messages, etc. Your primary focus will be web support for mexico and other websites to ensure regional alignment/best practice. Additionally, you will help craft clear, engaging content, support media and employee communications, and contribute to projects that enhance our brand and reputation.
key responsibilities:
* translate, adapt and support regional communication strategies to engage employees, leaders and external stakeholders.
* translate, adapt and support communications channels to maintain corporate websites, social media, newsletters, and intranet.
* organize and serve as event lead for partner events and association activities.
* manage relationship with agency partner to oversee media engagement strategy aligned with corporate goals and regional objectives.
* write and edit press releases, social media posts, blogs, and other content.
* optimize website through seo and sea management, edit and publish articles, forms, and other web features.
* support operational needs and serve as communications business partner for country-specific requests.
required skills and qualifications:
to excel in this role, you should have:
* a bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or a related field.
* 2+ years of experience in a communications, pr, or marketing role (internships included).
* strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
* interest in the insurance or financial services industry.
* ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
* familiarity with microsoft office and basic content management or design tools (e.g., canva, wordpress, sharepoint) is a plus.
* eagerness to learn and grow in a collaborative team environment.
