the role of gaming category manager involves driving consumer engagement and revenue at retail, as well as amplifying the xbox brand through our retail partners.

we partner across the xbox ecosystem to amplify console performance at retail – driving platform adoption, elevating in-store and online presence, and fueling growth from first impression to final purchase.
within gaming, we accomplish our mission in two ways:
* drive consumer engagement and revenue at retail: utilize consumer insights, market data, store-level analysis, and sales information to evaluate business performance and develop seasonal, launch, & sustain plans to improve our partners' business, win share, sell units, and drive revenue.
* amplify the xbox brand through our retail partners: plan and execute thoughtful and impactful through-line full-funnel marketing, focused on driving purchase intent, conversion, and post-purchase advocacy and customer lifetime value for gaming devices, content, accessories, and services.

in this role, you will create the americas retail strategy for xbox consoles, influencing future product plans and enabling partners by defining the category story, delivering regionally relevant insights, creating regional programs aligned to business priorities, and setting/striving to achieve success metrics.
key responsibilities

you will be responsible for owning the budgeting process, driving regional accountability, collaborating on demand planning alignment, and developing a comprehensive regional retail strategy for consoles.
you will also identify new growth opportunities, prioritize them based on their potential, and collaborate with the ww console category lead to shape strategies for new and strategic sales.
additionally, you will leverage industry knowledge, channel insights, and customer understanding to drive strategic alignment, digital transformation, and achieve joint business objectives with partners and ww category.
requirements

to succeed in this role, you should have a successful track record in managing and transforming a consumer category, while meeting sales and profitability targets.
a master's degree in engineering, computer science, supply chain, data analytics, business, finance, or related field is required, along with 5+ years of experience in data science/analytics, finance, project management, supply chain, and/or operations.
alternatively, a bachelor's degree in the same fields and 6+ years of experience may be considered.
