Descripción y detalle de las actividades
- Utilizing internal tools, promptly and accurately submit purchase orders for various materials not held in stock to complete necessary components for production (i.e., blank garments, external garment trims, etc.)
- Support Sr Procurement Manager and/or Procurement Supervisor in projects as needed or delegated
- Issuance of mill purchase order (MPO) to the appropriate mill partner as needed and requested by Production counterpart
- Review of systematic reports to identify errors in purchases or stock levels
- Coordination with external suppliers on cost validations, stock etas, backorders, etc., and ability to navigate contingency plans to secure best timing and cost
- Tracking of all inbound shipments from mill partner, following progress until received and end destination and ready for assignment by Production counterpart
- Maintenance of tracking logs and Production Work in Progress (WIP) documents to ensure all team members are well-informed and able to negotiate time and action (T&A;) calendars
- With an in-depth understanding of the production lifecycle and product offerings from relevant suppliers, effectively and professionally communicate challenges and solutions with internal and external cross-functional teams
- Ability to think critically, looking at all angles to identify the best possible solution to meet customer deadlines and needs
- Will be frequently required to review fabrics, garment fit and specification, colors, and make comparisons to find suitable substitution items to offer sales and other cross functional partners
- Display a willingness to learn and adapt to the ever-changing environment inherent in the fast fashion industry
- Display a willingness to learn and become proficient regarding all aspects of the supply chain to better serve our internal and external cross-functional teams; including but not limited to mill blank suppliers and offerings, garment specifications and technical details, understanding of suitable substitutions
Experiência y requisitos
- Advanced English Level
- Associate or bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university, or equivalent related purchasing experience
- Experience in the apparel industry, or related field, preferred
- Display proficiency in Microsoft suite products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Written and verbal communication in both English and Spanish required
- Openness to work in a dynamic environment
- Possess excellent analytical skills
- Possess excellent time management skills and attention to detail
