responsible for specifying, designing, installing, andmaintainingautomation equipment, tooling and applications asrequiredto meet specifications what a typical day looks like: take ownership during the entire life cycle of automation projects, from concept to feasibility and from fabrication and test to production.
define, develop, and deploy automation into flex sites.
design the layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency and safety.
design and engineer moderate and complex automation equipment, tooling, and applications prepare rfq's andsolicitquotations from automation suppliers.
evaluate supplier quotations to obtain the best combination of technicalsolution,costand timing.
develop budget and schedule for projects and manage projects to stay within them.
able to quickly cost evaluate and work up the financial justification for automating conduct equipment design reviews and provide design guidance to suppliers.
manage automation suppliers through all phases of projects.
provide on-site support during machine build,debugand testing/qualification.
supervise installation and testing to verify requirements and specifications are met.
draft qualification protocols and support equipment qualification activities.
develop manufacturing solutions with the best combination of manual, semi-automationand/or full automation.
evaluate and plan workforceutilization, space requirements, and workflow.
implement cost effective automationsolution.
support new product development automation needs,facilitateassembly processes through the implementation of assembly cells and automated equipment at npistageand ensure meeting development timeline.
interface with customers and functional owners on product development issuesregardingautomation.
conduct design-for-automation examination and provide detailed recommendations.
participate in design reviews and provide status reports as perestablishedschedule.
prepare andmaintaindocumentation related to the operation of the automation equipment the experiencewe'relooking to add to our team bachelor's degree isrequiredandrelated experience/ fluent english.
experience in automation and manufacturing engineering, including comprehensive project management and supervision.
experience in automated plants.
experience with robots, plcs, pneumatic and hydraulic actuators, and sensors.
experience in high-volume manufacturing companies.
desirable: experience in the electronics industry.
solid knowledge of mechanical, electronic, or electromechanical systems integration.
knowledge of industry 4.0 tools and technologies.
