we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven general manager to lead the overall operations and strategic direction of the organization. This role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, driving efficiency, and maintaining compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
the general manager will oversee key areas including logistics, warehousing, transportation, and customer service, while managing relationships with stakeholders and leading negotiations with suppliers and partners. Additionally, the role involves monitoring performance through key metrics, optimizing processes, resolving operational challenges, and providing accurate and timely reporting to support regional decision-making and business growth.
this position will reports to the regional operations manager, based at zapopan jalisco, mexico.
the following key responsibilities will be assigned to this role:
* oversee and lead the company's daily operations, ensuring efficiency and business continuity
* define and implement strategies for logistics, warehousing, transportation, and customer service management
* ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal policies
* participate in meetings with shareholders, presenting results and aligning the company's strategic direction
* manage key relationships and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, clients, and other strategic partners
* monitor key performance indicators (kpis) such as costs, productivity, service levels, inventory, and delivery times
* analyze operational data to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions
* resolve operational issues and manage incidents or complaints in a timely manner
* ensure the achievement of cost, efficiency, quality, and timeliness objectives
* oversee and ensure the accurate preparation of reports on sales, warehousing, imports, and exports for regional reporting
cadidate's profile:
* minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics operations
* bachelor's degree in business administration or industrial engineering; master's degree in business administration (mba) preferred
* bilingual in spanish and english
* knowledge of logistics and transportation
* knowledge of import regulations
* knowledge of export regulations
* knowledge of customs and free trade zone regulations
* basic knowledge of finance
