lead and coordinate the activities of the purchasing, shipping, warehouse, receiving, and import-export areas
* implement, manage, execute, and control an efficient procurement system for raw materials, indirect materials, fixed assets, and all supplies required by the organization.
* ensure the availability of materials and/or spare parts required for plant production.
* negotiate with suppliers considering delivery time, pricing, minimum and maximum order quantities, and payment terms.
* coordinate and supervise the import and export of materials.
* develop and implement innovative strategies to optimize procurement results.
* prepare and distribute the production plan, ensuring proper material supply to meet it.
* coordinate and ensure on-time shipments to customers.
* ensure that processes are generating and delivering the expected outputs.
* report to top management on the performance of the quality management system and opportunities for improvement.
* promote a customer-focused approach across the organization.
* maintain compliance within the area according to iso 9001:2015, iatf 16949:2016, and iso 14001:2015 standards.
* manage department personnel to meet role requirements and maintain an efficient material flow in the warehouse, ensuring quality service to production lines and strong customer relationships by meeting requirements on time.
* authority to execute and approve purchases of raw materials and indirect materials for mfg de méxico.
* initiate or request corrective actions when non-conformities affecting product quality arise.
* authority over the materials department regarding movements, shift changes, and all related activities.
* authority to communicate directly with customers and provide status updates regarding plant situations.
