the selected individual will be responsible for generating private company acquisition opportunities, structuring and negotiating equity transactions, investor relations, and performing initial reviews of potential investments.
this high-profile position is integral to the success of the fund; the candidate must understand and demonstrate knowledge and apply investment concepts and principles to a broad spectrum of industries.private equity associate responsibilities:source new investment opportunities, cultivate relations with brokers and industry associations, to always maintain a healthy pipeline.diligence and execution of private equity investment opportunities across various industries.create reports, compile data, and perform in-depth analysis of investment performance to identify attractive areas of investment opportunity and competitive analyses.financial modeling, including analysis of financial statements, valuations, returns, and competitive ratios.interface with third parties to compile required data and information and resolve diligence-related issues while mitigating risks.perform in-depth market and asset class analysis to adequately assess and support the underwriting of investment opportunities from both a risk and return perspective.participate in fund-raising and fund-structuring processes to aid in the growth of bid capital.participate in m&a transactions, assisting in the preparation of financial models and business valuations, creating client marketing presentations, conducting industry and company-specific due diligence, and assisting in the preparation of fairness opinionsparticipate in investment committee activities; provide supporting materials for decision-making.maintain deal pipeline to memorialize all screened investment opportunities.lead a team of investment analysts.ideal candidate qualities:bachelor's degree at a top rate university in finance, economics, or related.3-5 years of experience in investment banking or private equity firm, quantitative background with experience in financial modeling, valuations, and financial analysis.strong presentation skills and ability to work well with powerpoint.strong research skills and ability to create industry and competitive analyses as well as conduct thorough research on target companies.outstanding work ethic, ability to work independently, and sound judgement.strong interpersonal skills, as well as both written and verbal communication skills.comfort interacting and engaging with our intermediary network and business owners both telephonically and in person.
