responsibilities
* create and send releases/scheduling agreements in sap to suppliers for all components according to the production plan.
* verify release confirmations, clarify delivery situations, and send reminders if necessary.
* follow up shipment of components from suppliers’ warehouses until arrival at our plant.
* provide current invoices for material in transit to the traffic coordinator and warehouse to ensure receipt through the sap system.
* adjust procurement situation to changed production conditions.
* handle bottleneck management of critical suppliers and outsourced operations (subcontractors), track backlog reduction plans and follow escalation plans.
* conciliate raw‑material accumulations with all suppliers on a monthly basis.
* report corresponding kpis.
* ensure sap releases contain all transit information, are maintained updated, and send releases minimum every two weeks.
* perform weekly demand analysis according to consumption to ensure availability and avoid overstocks.
* ensure all materials are received in sap for proper registration, including updating in‑transit materials.
* set up master data for all raw material to ensure data integrity.
* guarantee sap internal communication with prm and mpp for effective engineering changes.
* plan and schedule together with prm to avoid overstock and obsolescence.
* avoid premium freight.
* record and coordinate logistical complaints and prepare inspection reports for logistics service providers and suppliers.
* act as process owner of supplier empties disposition.
* actively monitor daily inventory based on abc/xyz analysis and demand situation, and escalates to schedulers and/or suppliers.
qualifications
* bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, business administration, international commerce or similar.
* at least 3 years of experience in the automotive industry in a similar role.
* strong background in managing suppliers worldwide, with a high level of maturity and ability to work under pressure.
* knowledge of sap modules mm, pp, wm.
* experience in materials planning.
* experience in supplier management.
* advanced english proficiency.
