key roles & responsibilities
- design and develop new products in the r&d laboratory for current and new customers.
- support the creation and optimization of targeted innovation technologies, platforms, and application-based differentiated solutions.
- utilize high-level food science acumen and griffith technical capabilities to create competitive advantage.
- execute and follow up acquisition and penetration (rapi) initiatives focused on building the future and protecting core customer relationships.
- serve as an advisor on retention projects that protect existing products.
- guide projects from initiation through successful commercialization with customers.
- monitor and evaluate alternative raw materials to ensure business continuity.
- explore, validate, and implement differentiation product and process knowledge.
- follow up each new project from development to launch.
- assure product quality and safety at the laboratory level.
- operate, maintain, and clean pilot plant machinery using personal protective equipment.
- provide necessary information to finance and regulatory teams for correct documentation.
- elaborate technical test reports to support customers and develop manufacturing procedures for new developments.
- participate with the implementation team in introducing new products and processes onto manufacturing lines.
- ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- use griffith tools (crm, griffith apps, dax, tickets request) correctly for project implementation.
- be an active member of the sensory panel.
acquisition & penetration (product development for current and new customers)
- apply advanced knowledge of food science, innovative technologies, and product applications to expand customers' product portfolio.
- develop product solutions that deliver value, enable sales, and increase contribution margin.
- identify ways customers can enhance their product offerings using griffith foods innovation technologies and expertise.
- design and elaborate new products under commercial and technological requirements set by clients, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
- create products aligned with griffith aspirations: nutrition, alternative protein, innovation, sustainable.
- collaborate with partners and ecosystems to deliver new technologies aligned with company aspirations.
- prepare samples for presentations and provide customer support remotely or on-site, with some travel required.
- industrialize culinary recipes based on scientific understanding.
retention (current products for current customers)
- advise on projects focused on protecting current products, including developing alternative raw materials and formulas.
- improve formulas according to customer requests.
- lead gpe projects.
- transform the portfolio according to new global nutrition criteria.
functional knowledge & qualifications
- demonstrate deep understanding of technical application in internal and external manufacturing production and technology processes, especially sauces, dressings, and liquid seasonings.
- show proficiency in culinary arts, sensory science, and market insights interpretation.
- have experience in food science, including additives and functional ingredients.
- possess knowledge in nutrition.
