job description:
this manager is responsible for overseeing second shift assembly and manufacturing operations. This position will work directly with leadership to develop an assembly and manufacturing operational strategy that aligns with the operational business strategy to support and increase factory productivity.
responsibilities:
* responsible for developing, executing, and maintaining fabrication and assembly operations to assure that all products manufactured by the organization meet customer demand.
* develops a long-term strategy for improving quality and safety results.
* aligns manufacturing organization with quality assurance objectives and work closely with other members supporting lean-sigma initiatives.
* develops continuous improvement initiatives and drive positive change.
* actively participates in the implementation of strategies in a cross-functional manner.
* manages/oversees salaried and hourly personnel.
* provides hands on project management and coordinates multiple projects with the leadership stakeholders.
* creates project plans, timelines, critical paths, and milestones. Perform cost-benefit evaluation for all assigned projects to define potential financial, business, and industry impacts of initiatives.
