Job description
this position is responsible for leading the strategic procurement of indirect materials (including mro, services, machinery, construction, among others) and managing key investment and operational improvement projects. The role plays a critical part in ensuring supply chain efficiency, cost optimization, and alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives.
candidate profile
education
* bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, business administration, or a related field.
professional experience
* minimum of 5 years of experience in indirect procurement and industrial project management.
* proven experience in categories such as mro, facilities, construction, machining, capex, hr services, and electronic spares.
* strong background in supplier negotiations, contract management, and vendor relationship development at both national and international levels.
technical knowledge
* proficiency in erp systems (preferably oracle).
* advanced skills in ms project, power bi, and excel.
* advanced english proficiency (required for global communication).
* familiarity with quality systems and continuous improvement methodologies.

key responsibilities
* design and implement sourcing strategies for indirect categories, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
* manage capital investment (capex) projects, including procurement of machinery, tooling, and infrastructure.
* coordinate plant expansion, construction, and equipment installation projects.
* collaborate with internal departments (engineering, operations, hr, finance) to align procurement strategies with business needs.
* lead contract negotiations, monitor supplier performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* analyze spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities, supplier consolidation, and total cost of ownership reduction.
* prepare executive reports and project updates for local and global stakeholders.
