Adient is seeking a meticulous Data Analyst to join our Mexico Regulatory Compliance team, with a special emphasis on tax and trade compliance. The idóneo candidate will gather, analyze, and interpret data related to regulatory, tax, and trade requirements, supporting Adient’s commitment to rigorous compliance, risk management, and operational excellence throughout our Mexico operations.
Key Responsibilities 
- Gather and organize data relevant to regulatory, tax, and trade compliance from diverse internal and external sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor developments in Mexican regulations, tax laws, customs regulations, and trade policies, interpreting new requirements and measuring their impact on Adient’s processes.
- Analyze compliance, tax, and trade data to uncover trends, identify gaps, and spot potential risks; deliver actionable reports and strategic recommendations to management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—Information technology, Legal, Operations, Human Resources, Finance, among others—to ensure that regulatory, tax, and trade requirements are clearly understood and properly implemented.
- Support the preparation and submission of documentation required by Mexican regulatory, tax, and customs authorities.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations to track key compliance, tax, and trade metrics.
- Assist in internal audits, providing data-driven insights to support the resolution of issues related to regulatory or tax matters.
- Stay abreast of Mexican regulatory, tax, and trade developments, as well as industry best practices relevant to Adient’s sector.
Qualifications 
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Administration, Information Systems, Law, Accounting, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis, regulatory, tax, or trade compliance, preferably in an international organization.
- Able to build solid understanding of Mexican regulatory, tax compliance requirements, government reporting standards, and customs/trade regulations through working with other experts in the organization.
- Proficient in SAP for data extraction, reporting, and compliance documentation.
- Experienced in SQL, Power BI, Excel, and relational databases.
- Ability to streamline processes for faster analysis.
- Exceptional quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Skillful communicator able to present complex findings to non-technical audiences.
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is required.
- Keen attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining integrity when handling sensitive compliance, tax, and trade data.
- Experience working with SAP or QAD is preferred.
Preferred Skills 
- Experience in the automotive manufacturing industry or a closely related field.
- Familiarity with international compliance frameworks and global trade standards.
- Project management experience in compliance, tax, or trade-related initiatives.
Work Environment 
This position is based in San Pedro Garza García, N.L. Mexico and may require periodic travel to Adient’s manufacturing sites and administrative offices. The Data Analyst will report to the Executive Finance Director, Mexico and collaborate with a team dedicated to upholding Adient’s regulatory, tax, and trade compliance goals.
