what you'll do
lead, facilitate, and coordinate production activities and resource management according to established practices and policies within your area to ensure the timely delivery of quality parts that meet or exceed customer expectations. Promote continuous improvement and a safety culture.
* implement, promote, and maintain a safe work environment by fostering a culture of accident prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance, and adherence to safety rules. Identify, control, and manage risks in your area.
* prepare daily production status reports.
* coordinate and utilize resources effectively to resolve manufacturing problems, improve processes, and meet customer demands.
* provide and implement training to enhance personnel performance.
* manage employee-related activities: attendance, punctuality, overtime, vacations, and permissions.
* act as a business partner by planning, leading, and assessing continuous improvement initiatives using eaton business systems (ebs) tools like els and 5s.
* maintain accurate inventory reports, reduce work-in-progress levels, and identify cost reduction opportunities.
* set, communicate, and achieve departmental goals; develop performance metrics to monitor results and identify process improvements. Participate in continuous improvement teams.
* supervise material non-conformance identification during shifts.
* coordinate with human resources for employee selection, promotion, counseling, and termination following company policies.
* monitor machinery and facilities, initiating maintenance to ensure safety and efficiency.
* support and promote eaton's ethics, values, and quality policies.
* motivate and coach employees to maintain high satisfaction, productivity, and quality through rewards and recognition programs.
qualifications
engineering degree or related field required. 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing or engineering environment preferred.
skills
knowledge of iso 9001-2015, iso 14001, management systems, and continuous improvement activities such as cops, rie, and value stream mapping. Familiarity with health and safety programs.
