Responsibilities
provide quantitative international marketing expertise to regional management in analysis of pricing, forecasting, competitive intelligence, market segmentation, and targeted marketing using advanced quantitative and computer modeling techniques. Develop division and regional planning and analyses through strategic analysis, forecasting, pricing, rate development, and market research. Evaluate new business opportunities by interpreting competitive analysis and market intelligence, customer needs, and assessing competitor market position. Evaluate revenue and volume impact of new international flight schedules, pricing changes, customer value analysis, competitor actions, and product promotions. Develop statistical reports to forecast, analyze, and track fedex volumes and revenue by customer group, product, and country. Automate essential reports utilizing appropriate computer languages, relational databases, or olap tools such as sas, c, cobol, holos, or essbase. Update manager or senior analyst project leader on progress of projects. Train users to enable them to utilize the systems described above. Conduct analysis and develop proposals for strategic target pricing programs, prepare profitability analysis for large customer pricing requests and other exceptions to pricing guidelines using applicable target pricing process. Analyze revenue and profit performance of pricing programs, large customers, market segments and service type, and provide analysis to support changes or to develop new programs. Develop, maintain, and post pricing policies and procedures and pricing training manuals to appropriate websites, conduct compliance and control analysis/reports, and conduct regular pricing audits with field marketing and sales. Provide timely and effective pricing administration support to minimize revenue leakage and/or lost revenue opportunities to acceptable levels as determined by executive management.
qualifications
* 5-10 years of work experience in marketing or similar quantitative business analysis, or related fields.
* bachelor's degree/equivalent in business, finance, marketing, mathematics, computer science, or comparable analytical discipline; masters degree preferred.
* analytical skills, judgment & decision-making skills, leadership skills, and presentation skills.
* international and/or air freight industry experience preferred.
* knowledge of basic marketing functions.

* fluent in english.
