It audit consultant – brown‐forman

brown‐forman is a premium spirits company where you will grow personally and professionally. As an it audit consultant you will lead the creation and implementation of the annual it audit plan, oversee it audits, consultations, and it sox compliance, and enable management to achieve business objectives by strengthening internal controls.

key responsibilities
* coordinate and lead audits/consultations with internal audit team members and business partners to evaluate internal controls, policy adherence, regulatory compliance (sarbanes‐oxley, gdpr, cybersecurity, etc.), data security, and system controls.
* meet with it leaders at least annually to discuss risk to their areas of responsibility.
* analyze risks for each business area and work with management to develop the it audit plan and set the direction, emphasis, and scope of proposed audits.
* ensure work is completed in line with client expectations, provide timely updates and oversee follow‐up communications for adoption of agreed action plans.
* coordinate with the external auditor to facilitate the annual financial audit and sarbanes‐oxley assessment related to company systems and it environment.
* prepare reports, including audit committee updates for the vp and director of internal audit on a regular basis.
* participate in audits across different markets, locations, brands, departments, and business units, working with employees at all levels.
required qualifications
* 2+ years of finance experience.
* english language proficiency, written and verbal.
* certified information systems auditor (cisa).
* demonstrated knowledge of sarbanes‐oxley compliance and it audit best practices.
* ability to analyze financial activities, identify process strengths and weaknesses, and develop solutions that improve efficiency and effectiveness.
* strong technical skills, including spreadsheets, database, and graphic presentation development.
* experience auditing computerized accounting and financial systems within erp, network, and pc environments.
* experience auditing the financial statements and business processes of a global company.
* experience auditing, managing, operating, and/or developing in an sap environment.
preferred qualifications
* certified public accountant (cpa) and/or certified internal auditor (cia).
* experience traveling and working internationally.
* experience in the beverage alcohol or consumer products industry.
* previous experience working at a big‐4 public firm.
