Process engineering manager job description
the process engineering manager plays a key leadership role in overseeing all aspects of process engineering within our organization.
this position drives operational excellence, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* lead and manage a team of process supervisors & engineers to design, develop, and implement efficient manufacturing processes.
* analyze existing manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
* drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean six sigma methodologies, kaizen events, and other process improvement tools to streamline operations and drive performance excellence.
* collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop new manufacturing processes ensuring seamless integration of advanced technologies and best practices.
* monitor and control production costs while maintaining product quality and safety standards.
* implement robust quality assurance processes to ensure products meet or exceed regulatory and customer requirements.
* identify potential risks and challenges in manufacturing processes and implement preventive measures to mitigate operational disruptions.
experiences/education - required
* bachelor's or master's degree in an engineering field (mechatronics, mechanical, industrial, manufacturing engineering or a related field).
* proven experience in process engineering with experience in managerial or leadership roles.
* strong background in process optimization, lean six sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
* proficiency in process simulation software and computer-aided design (cad) tools.
* excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to drive data-driven decisions.
