job responsibilities
* provide primary care and immediate response in first aid, initial assessment of incidents or ailments, patient stabilization, transfer decision (hospital/imss) – does not replace hospital care, only stabilizes the patient.
* conduct occupational health surveillance and medical examinations: pre‑employment (if applicable), periodic (according to risk), return to work.
* monitor general illnesses that impact work, occupational diseases.
* risk prevention (stps code), identification of health risks.
* evaluate workplace conditions: ergonomics, lighting, work‑related stress, and provide control recommendations.
* manage incident and accident processes: accident registration, cause investigation, trend analysis.
* lead health and wellness programs such as health campaigns, vaccinations, basic checkups, prevention of diabetes and hypertension.
* act as member of the safety and hygiene committee: evaluating workstations, ergonomics and recommendations.
* provide training: first aid for brigades, use of first aid kits, emergency response.
* ensure regulatory compliance and support applicable regulations, including support during stps audits.
* maintain occupational health documentation.
qualifications
* degree in medicine with relevant experience in occupational health.
* solid knowledge of general medicine and occupational health practices, with ability to apply current regulations and standards.
* strong organizational and planning skills with ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
* excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* high level of professionalism with ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion.
