We are seeking a materials manager to join our reynosa, mx team. In this role, you will oversee the planning, procurement, inventory control, storage, and distribution of materials and products in alignment with company objectives and customer requirements. ⸻ you will: develop and implement strategic materials planning initiatives to support production goals and minimize costs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast material requirements and ensure timely availability. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiating favorable terms and agreements. Implement effective inventory control measures to maintain optimal stock levels. Utilize advanced forecasting tools to prevent shortages and minimize excess inventory. Oversee the logistics and distribution of materials. Work closely with production, engineering, and other departments to align materials management strategies. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to address materials-related challenges. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address potential supply chain disruptions. Perform other duties as assigned. ⸻ key qualifications: bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in a similar position. Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Strong knowledge of materials planning, procurement, inventory control, and warehouse management principles. Proficiency in materials management systems and software (qad, jde, as/400, sap). Apics certification is required. Demonstrated success in implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
