responsible for coordinating and scheduling appointments for freight shipments across the u.s.mexico border, ensuring timely documentation completion, and providing seamless communication between all parties involved. This role requires a solid understanding of border crossing procedures, as well as knowledge of the carta porte, a key document for transporting goods.
*key responsibilities*:
- *appointment scheduling*: coordinate and schedule appointments for freight shipments, ensuring timely delivery and pickup at various border crossing points between the u.s. and mexico.
- *documentation management*: accurately prepare, verify, and file all necessary border-crossing documentation for shipments, ensuring compliance with both u.s. and mexican regulations.
- *carta porte knowledge*: review, prepare, and verify carta porte documents for shipments to and from mexico, ensuring all necessary details are included and compliant with regulations.
- *communication*: maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, drivers, customs brokers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and timely handling of shipments.
- *border crossing compliance*: ensure that all shipments meet the necessary regulatory requirements for crossing the u.s.mexico border, including proper paperwork, permits, and clearance.
- *issue resolution*: address any scheduling conflicts, border crossing delays, or documentation discrepancies, working closely with the team and clients to resolve issues efficiently.
- *system maintenance*: enter and update shipment data in our tracking and scheduling systems to maintain accurate records and monitor progress.
- *customer service*: provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, providing updates on shipment status, and offering solutions to any scheduling or documentation challenges.
*qualifications*:
- *experience*: prior experience in freight scheduling, logistics, or freight brokerage is preferred.
- *knowledge*: familiarity with u.s.mexico border crossing procedures, documentation requirements, and the carta porte is essential.
- *attention to detail*: must have strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in scheduling and documentation.
- *communication skills*: strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and internal teams.
- *organizational skills*: excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- *technical skills*: proficiency with microsoft office suite (excel, word) and experience with scheduling or freight management software is a plus.
