to support our rapid global growth we are looking for a chief accountant for chinese entity.
financial accounting & compliance responsibilities:
* post (reflect) all transactions in accounting system (1c, sap in future);
* ensure full compliance with chinese gaap and group accounting policies;
* oversee gl, monthly/quarterly/yearly closings, ensure timely and accurate reporting;
* ensure correct classification of transactions in the accounting system;
* participate in the sap implementation process for chinese entity.
taxation & regulatory compliance responsibilities:
* calculation of taxes and preparation of all tax-related reporting, including cit (we currently a small entity), vat, wht, tp reporting, payroll related reporting and ensure timely submission of all tax declarations/reports;
* calculation of payroll related taxes and reflection of such transactions in the accounting system;
* communication with payroll providers, coordinating them and tracking deadlines;
* liaise with tax authorities, handle inspections and prepare official responses to tax queries;
* work closely with the group financial department to ensure risk mitigation and compliance with group strategies.
treasury & cash flow management responsibilities:
* preparation of payments in online banking systems to support payment runs;
* submission of payments supporting documents to the bank;
* posting of bank statements in internal erp systems;
* supporting of the regular kyc reviews;
* communication with banks regarding other matters upon request of the group treasury team.
requirements:
* 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably as a chief accountant / senior accountant;
* proven experience in a one-person accounting role;
* strong hands-on knowledge of chinese gaap and local accounting practices;
* solid experience with chinese taxation (cit, vat, wht, tp, payroll-related taxes);
* experience in gl management and period-end closings;
* experience working with tax authorities, payroll providers, and banks;
* ability to work independently with full ownership of accounting and compliance;
* english – upper-intermediate+;
* chinese – fluent / professional proficiency (must-have).
