Role overview
the ceo's right hand (tcrh) is hiring a full-time staff accountant to join our remote accounting team. Based in latin america, this role supports tcrh's u.s.-based client portfolio by executing core accounting functions including transaction processing, reconciliations, and month-end close tasks under the direction of a senior accountant or accounting manager.

core responsibilities
transaction processing and reconciliations (60%)
* process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries in quickbooks online
* perform bank, credit card, and standard gl account reconciliations monthly
* investigate and resolve discrepancies with appropriate documentation
* categorize and code transactions accurately across multiple client entities
* process payroll entries and review payroll reports for accuracy in gusto/adp with supervision
month-end close execution (20%)
* execute assigned close tasks per the close calendar and checklists
* prepare standard journal entries including basic accruals and adjustments
* compile supporting schedules for financial statement preparation
* meet close deadlines consistently, flag delays early to supervisor
client communication and support (10%)
* respond to routine client inquiries within 4 business hours of client outreach
* escalate complex or non-routine issues to senior/manager with full context and a recommended course of action
* maintain professional, clear communication in english via email and slack
* participate in client calls as needed during u.s. business hours
process adherence and development (10%)
* follow established sops, checklists, and documentation standards
* track time daily in monday.com/zoho projects against client engagements
* suggest minor process improvements when identified
* participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities
technical qualifications
* 3+ years of accounting experience, with exposure to accrual and cash basis methods
* proficiency in quickbooks online (qbo proadvisor certification a plus)
* solid understanding of u.s. Gaap fundamentals
* experience with bank and gl reconciliations across multiple entities
* proficiency in excel/google sheets (basic formulas: sum, if, sumif, countif; comfortable navigating and formatting spreadsheets), productivity software (i.e. Monday.com, clickup, asana, zoho projects)
* familiarity with payroll platforms (gusto, adp) and ap tools (bill.com, expensify)
* working knowledge of accrual accounting, journal entries, and standard close procedures
* bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
* professional working proficiency in english required (written and verbal)

* ability to manage own workload across 2 to 4 client engagements simultaneously

* responsiveness to client communications within 4 hours during business hours via slack and email
