About the job
- as a quality operation director you will lead and manage quality assurance teams across industrial plants and distribution centers.
- develop and implement quality control processes and procedures to ensure product quality and consistency.
- conduct regular audits and inspections of industrial plants and distribution centers to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- analyze quality data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, logistics, and supply chain, to drive quality improvements and ensure seamless operations.
- develop training programs and workshops to educate staff on quality standards and best practices.
- monitor and report quality metrics, progress, and issues to the vp of quality, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- manage and mentor a team of 6 direct reports, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
- stay updated on industry trends and advancements in quality assurance and incorporate relevant practices into the organization.
- lead initiatives to achieve and maintain certifications and accreditations related to quality standards.
- foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence within the organization.
about you
*education*:
- bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, food engineering, or industrial engineering.
*experience*:
- minimum of 10 years of experience in similar roles.
- experience in quality assurance within industrial plants and distribution centers.
- knowledge of quality processes and iws (integrated work systems).
- experience implementing ppr ´s
