position: billing agent i – ait truckload solutions. This role supports internal and external customers with invoicing, reporting and analytic metrics, processes invoices, bills customers, and coordinates with the accounts receivable department to evaluate accounts. Ensure invoices are delivered in a timely fashion and are error-free.
responsibilities
* generate and deliver accurate / timely invoices for customer accounts per invoicing kpi metrics, via digital, edi and traditional mail services
* receive, sort and index paperwork in the enterprise document management system
* collaborate with collections, sales and operations to provide documentation and backup for collection and carrier payment efforts
* review customer-specific tms billing applications for rejected invoices and take action accordingly
* research and correct rating and billing discrepancies
* compile daily/weekly/monthly reports for financials, sales and operational kpis
qualifications
education qualifications
* high school diploma or ged equivalent required
experience qualifications
* 0-3 years experience in bookkeeping and accounting preferred
* 0-3 years experience in transportation and supply chain industry preferred
skills and abilities
* basic math (high proficiency)
* bookkeeping (medium proficiency)
* basic accounting (medium proficiency)
* microsoft office excel experience required (medium proficiency)
