your role in our team
* this role involves providing strategic technical direction, ensuring architectural integrity, and partnering with business and it leaders to enable operational excellence and digital transformation across global medical affairs operations.
this includes:
1. shaping the technical architecture and infrastructure design for global-scale solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, scalability, security, and compliance requirements.
2. developing and maintaining a multi-year technology roadmap for platforms, integrations, and modernization initiatives.
3. leading technical design and overseeing development and testing for complex, multi-workstream programs; setting direction, resolving issues, and ensuring quality outcomes.
4. conducting code and design reviews to ensure high-quality, secure, and maintainable solutions that follow best practices.
5. troubleshooting complex technical issues and providing timely, effective resolutions to maintain system stability and performance.
6. creating and maintaining technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and operational procedures.
7. identifying and prioritizing technical debt and driving remediation plans aligned with roadmap priorities.
8. mentoring and upskilling team members, ensuring knowledge transfer and readiness to support and enhance systems.
9. ensuring robust backup and disaster recovery plans are in place, tested, and aligned with business continuity requirements.
10. managing strategic vendor relationships and slas and overseeing technical deliverables.
11. serving as the authorized deputy system owner for assigned applications during absences; executing delegated authority per change/control thresholds and escalating major decisions to the delivery manager.
12. maintaining audit readiness and ensuring sox/itgc and regulatory compliance (including validation/csv where applicable) are met for ongoing changes and releases.
13. overseeing validation signoffs and release readiness checks per established procedures; ensuring objective evidence is complete and traceable.
14. governing application lifecycle management (alm) disciplines: requirements, traceability, test management, defect triage, and release notes using the organization's alm tooling.
15. representing the application in cab/change forums; ensuring change records, risk assessments, and rollback plans are complete and approved.
16. coordinating vendors and internal teams to triage incidents/problems and drive root-cause corrective actions; ensuring documentation and sops remain current.
17. communicating complex technical concepts to senior stakeholders in clear, business-oriented language.
