*your role*the global account director is responsible for driving sales and business development for a customer globally.this person will also be responsible for the symrise interests with one customer.this includes developing and executing the key account management (kam) plan to ensure strategic alignment, profitable growth, collaboration, relationship development and seamless commercial execution.the role requires strong coordination with global teams to ensure boundary spanning and cross-regional consistency, strategic alignment, knowledge sharing, and best practice implementation.
*key responsibilities*1.kam plan development & execution*- the customer growth development- develop and execute the global key account management (kam) plan in line with global and regional business objectives.
- collaborate with intent to align account strategies with the customer growth priorities.
- define and implement joint business planning, category management, and account-specific initiatives.
- use customer insights and competitive analysis to identify market gaps and unlock opportunities for mutual business growth.
- regularly update and optimize the kam plan based on market dynamics and business performance.
- align with cross-functional teams (r&d, finance, marketing, supply chain) to deliver on kam objectives.
- build and enable, via customer teams, a multi-level customer engagement platform- understand your customer strategy and translate this for symrise- leverage the symrise position with our ka (relative to competition) including core listing- build progressive business models (incl. acquisition targeting) to drive step change with the customer.
- lead preparing the sales budget and deliver the ka's aop- lead the ka management process with the customer team, from co-creation to execution of a customer strategy, including building and delivering unique value propositions*2.*sales & business development*- drive sales growth and expand market share by leveraging the kam plan as a roadmap.
- develop tailored value propositions to meet the customer strategic needs.
- lead contract negotiations, pricing strategy, and profitability management.
*3.*customer & relationship management*- care to lead by fostering deep, trust-based partnerships with key customer's stakeholders.
- manage a multi-level engagement strategy with grupo bimbo across global and regional teams.
*4.*project management & execution*- execute key initiatives from the kam plan, ensuring seamless project execution from concept to commercialization.
- collaborate with intent by engaging cross-functional teams in delivering product launches, reformulations, and strategic projects.
*5.*strategic planning & market intelligence*- develop and refine the global kam plan based on deep market insights and the customer strategic objectives.
- conduct market analysis and competitor benchmarking to stay ahead of industry trends.
- align with global and regional leadership on growth priorities and investment decisions.
*6.*financial planning and performance management*- achieve sustainable and profitable growth for the key account through regional delivery of co-created customer strategic plan- manage and monitor the gross profitability and profit contribution according to set target values*about you* required qualifications*highly experienced business professional having held senior roles in the flavour industry and had additional p&l responsibility.
*education & experience*- bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
- experience in sales, account management, or business development, ideally within f&b.
- proven experience in key account management (kam) and strategic planning.
- experience managing regional accounts in a multinational environment.
- strong background in project management and working cross-functionally.
- prior exposure to global coordination and multi-market business strategies.
- working experience with grupo bimbo skills & competencies- kam planning & execution - proven ability to develop, implement, and optimize structured account plans.
