as part of the global nidec procurement team, you will be responsible for the efficient delivery of procurement activities for our monterrey, mexico facility, supporting global procurement strategies. This includes supplier selection and performance management across quality, cost, innovation, delivery, and management (qcidm).
you will work closely with global category managers to ensure our supplier base aligns with category strategies and meets global and local targets.
you will also ensure procurement of components supports operational needs and supply chain efficiency. A key focus will be on contract manufacturing, supporting cost-saving initiatives, and managing product migration into our facility.
you will lead new product introduction (npi) programs, collaborating with r&d to ensure supplier readiness.
you will implement measures to monitor performance, align with senior strategy, and drive continuous improvement to enhance business outcomes.
requirements
education and qualifications: bachelor's degree in business or related field
experience:
* at least 5 years’ procurement and supply chain experience in a production environment
* familiarity with electronics and mechanical raw parts
* project management experience in a complex, cost-effective setting
