Senior sourcing professional
as a seasoned expert in sourcing, you will play a pivotal role in driving category strategies and delivering key sourcing initiatives. Your responsibility will be to execute strategic plans, collaborate with stakeholders, and provide insights on local and regional markets.
key responsibilities:
* contribute to the development of comprehensive category strategies, ensuring their effective execution across assigned countries.
* work closely with an extended team focused on assigned countries, providing valuable insights on local and regional markets.
* present recommendations to decision-makers, ensuring transparent and aligned decision-making processes.
business partnering and collaboration:
* identify key stakeholders and establish strong business partnerships with them.
* collaborate with internal and external partners to create a clear vision and value proposition for procurement.
* work closely with stakeholders to identify short- and long-term plans for creating value, such as sourcing plans and roadmaps.
* become a trusted advisor for key suppliers and senior stakeholders, providing strategic advice and counsel.
supplier management and selection:
* conduct complex supplier selection activities and manage formal strategic sourcing and rfx processes, including supplier identification, due diligence, and life-cycle management.
* drive and conduct price and contract negotiations with a high degree of autonomy, aligning with business stakeholders and procurement functions as required.
* work independently, taking decisions within assigned areas of responsibility, and present results and recommendations for management decisions to relevant decision boards and stakeholders.
* coach, supervise, and collaborate with sourcing specialists on specified sourcing initiatives and supplier management.
* champion the use of esourcing, spend visibility, and r2p tools, leveraging and utilizing eauctions where appropriate.
* resolve quality, supply, or other issues diligently in close collaboration with local and regional stakeholders.
analysis and documentation:
* perform proposal analysis, including price analyses, should-cost modeling, benchmarking, and total cost of ownership (tco).
* generate proposal/quote comparisons and compile detailed assessments of cost breakdowns.
* ensure full documentation, including rfq documents, contracts, and data and price maintenance at each sourcing project closure.
risk management and ethical standards:
* evaluate financial stability of suppliers and manage supplier risks as needed, considering local plans, regulations, and specificities.
* demonstrate the highest ethical standards and ensure that fresenius medical care procedures are adopted and followed.
requirements:
* university degree in economics, business administration, or equivalent education, including relevant work experience.
* minimum 5 years of professional experience in tactical procurement.
* extensive purchasing experience in an international context, preferably in the healthcare sector.
* knowledge of industry-specific rules and regulations, as well as industry standards.
* understanding of the business environment.
* collections, handling, and analyzing diverse data types while leveraging digital communication technologies.
* delivering structured and compelling strategies based on data-driven insights, stakeholder needs, and business objectives.
* embracing change and new ideas, and formulating and applying creative responses to problems.
* effective communication skills.
* driving negotiations for strong outcomes, including optimal financial and operational results.
