about the sales manager position
the sales manager will support sales representatives and key account colleagues in managing key client relationships and negotiating contracts with key customers.
main responsibilities:
* leadership role: provide leadership to the business management team, coordinating all activities to meet business objectives.
* collaboration: work closely with general manager and plant management team to achieve commercial targets.
* new business acquisition: support on responses to new business acquisition rfq's and program related rfq packages.
* financial management: manage financial deliverables of all new, facelift and change programs to budgeted objectives.
* engineering collaboration: work with engineering department to ensure value analysis/value engineering targets are met and drive plant/customer va/ve activities to agreed targets.
* total commercial management: responsible for total lifetime commercial management of such business, delivering accurate and complete information and analysis.
* customer partnership: be an engaged business partner to our customers, focusing on business development, collaboration and planning for the future.
key requirements
* education: university degree in business and/or economics, program management or equivalent, or 8 years' experience in automotive industry as business / sales manager.
* experience: minimum 5 years' experience in the automotive industry in business management with substantially sized regional or global organization.
* industry knowledge: good working knowledge / understanding industry standards & related procedures.
* problem-solving skills: good ability to structure and prioritize work tasks, hands-on committed personality with urge to improve processes.
* language: fluent written and spoken english.
