the commercial finance manager is a critical role responsible for ensuring full control and effective investment of trade funds. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial finance, trade marketing, and financial analysis.
job description
* ensure strict control of trade investments, with full visibility by channel, retail environment, and customer, including monthly reporting, variance analysis, and corrective action plans.
* lead analysis to recommend and support the commercial team in managing, reducing, and optimizing trade spend resources.
* ensure accurate deflator accrual management, monitoring balances against trade investment activities, and highlighting risks/opportunities.
* follow up accruals and reverses according to the trade investment planning.
* provide monthly reporting to review credit notes versus deflator accruals.
* validate and approve all support for new initiatives of trade investment to ensure consistency between documentation and investment objectives.
* ensure that all settlements have the proper support and customer reconciliation before approving discounts.
* monitor deflator accounts closely in partnership with accounting and ar to guarantee proper reconciliation, compliance, and closure.
* review and calculate roi & post mortem analysis for top trade investment initiatives, to drive business learnings.
* act as guardian of trade spend governance, ensuring policies, internal controls, and audit readiness are in place, aligned with multinational fmcg best practices.
required skills and qualifications
* bachelor's degree: finance, business administration, economics, industrial engineer.
* commercial experience, trade marketing experience, finance and accounting principles knowledge.
* administrative or finance degree.
* at least 5 years of experience in finance.
* at least 2 years of experience sales controller.
* fluent english conversation and written communication.
* strong change management capabilities.
