to support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an industrial engineer jr. located in flex, juarez campus.
reporting to the industrial engineer, the industrial engineer jr. role involves responsibilities for increasing productivity through the management of workers, methods of business organization, and technology to solve organizational, production, and related problems efficiently.
what a typical day looks like:
* provides process time estimation to the quote team based on manufacturing simulations.
* autocad 2d design of operations, stations, cabins, etc.
* coordinates process planning and setup during npi, respecting takt, cycle time, and direct labor requirements.
* reviews results during prototyping and trial runs and provides feedback to npi and sales teams.
* implements work measurement programs and examines work samples to develop standards for labor utilization.
* analyzes staff utilization, facility layout, and operational data such as production costs, process flow charts, and schedules to optimize worker and equipment utilization.
* recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste, such as restructuring duties, reorganizing workflows, relocating work stations and equipment, and purchasing new equipment.
* collaborates with management and engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations.
* designs or improves systems for the physical distribution of goods and services and determines the most efficient plant locations.
* supports initiatives to increase throughput, reduce costs, and enhance performance, including lean, automation, and six sigma projects.
the experience we’re looking to add to our team:
* ba/bs degree in a relevant field.
* experience in a similar position within an electronic manufacturing environment.
* intermediate proficiency in english.
* experience with the following tools:
* strong knowledge of autocad.
* understanding of functional concepts and familiarity with flex policies and procedures.
* ability to interpret business periodicals, journals, technical procedures, and regulations. Capable of writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
