Responsible for mechanical engineering, design and development of air spring modules (ASM) for electronic air suspension systems
**Qualifications**:
**Core Responsibilities**:
- Engineering Development of air springs and subcomponents in alignment with customer/internal requirements and package boundary conditions
- Creation of 2D/3D CATIA models/drawings from existing designs, sketches, & verbal instructions.
- Initiation and leading of package studies for envelope determination
- Planning and participation on Design¬ Review ¬Based ¬Failure ¬Mode (DRBFM)¬ and DFMEA¬ meetings
- Support the detailing of component and assembly drawings
- Pre-process and create FEA simulation orders, determine load cases and design goals
- Kick-off of test and prototype orders as well as engineering change requests incl. tracking of execution
- Alignment of the customer requirements with the current Continental specifications
- Presentation of design and DFMEA results in reviews at internally.
- Core team member for internal interfaces (purchasing, project management, sales, logistic, industrial engineering, prototype shop)
- Creation of internal and customer product specifications
- Requirement documentation in the Conti requirement management system
- Verification of customer / supplier requirements with internal specifications/requirements
- Maintenance of engineering schedule and with other disciplines including customer milestones
- Responsible for adherence to schedules for engineering milestones
- Preparation of required documents and work products for releases and gate reviews
- Definition of component specification for suppliers
- Perform supplier management (technical contact partner for suppliers)
- Participation on plant launch planning meetings
- Application of GD&T.;
**Basic Qualifications**:
- Fluent in English (Speaking / Writing)
- Bachelor of engineering
- 2+ yrs. experience in using of CAD tools (CATIA / NX) or extensive CAD training program
- Knowledge in Mechanical component design for strength and durability
- Strong technical & problem-solving skills and strong communication & organization skills are required
- Team oriented and ability to coordinate development teams
