responsibilities
* manage a production line or lines, ensuring proper use of human resources, materials, equipment and time to execute production plans.
* ensure adherence to shipping schedules and contribute to continuous improvement in the area.
* prepare and report production progress and inform the production manager.
* monitor and assure product quality on the line; coordinate line model changes as needed.
* assign roles to operators and line leaders according to capability, supervise attendance and payroll reporting to hr, and maintain end-to-end process control.
* analyze shift results, generate activity and downtime reports, and communicate performance to the next shift.
* control inventory of materials and parts for the line and manage wip (work in progress).
* escalate line stoppages appropriately and participate in daily production meetings.
* train and supervise staff, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, safety and quality standards.
* identify bottlenecks, perform root-cause analysis (e.g., 8d), and implement improvements.
* coordinate with cross-functional teams (cft) to resolve issues and maintain production stability.
qualifications
* industrial engineering or related field.
* knowledge of production control systems (serials, flows, traceability) and lean manufacturing principles (5s, takt time, pokayokes).
* experience in electronics manufacturing and smt, pth and backend processes preferred.
* experience managing production lines and personnel; ability to lead a team of 10+ personnel.
* flexible availability to work different shifts and weekends if required.
* proficiency in ms office (excel) and basic reporting skills.
* strong leadership, people management and communication skills; english desired.
