Your rolethe planner buyer is responsible for the creation, follow-up, and maintenance of purchase orders for direct materials, ensuring the timely and sufficient availability of raw materials to support uninterrupted plant operations.this role requires a strong understanding of the production plan to effectively secure materials, maintain optimal inventory levels, and ensure compliance with quality standards.our teamyou will work in close collaboration with production, planning, suppliers, and the materials team, aligning sales requirements, production schedules, and supplier deliveries to ensure operational continuity, quality compliance, and cost optimization.what you will do- create, manage, and follow up on purchase orders for direct materials.
- analyze and interpret sales requirements and production schedules to ensure timely material availability.
- coordinate with the production planner to ensure the optimal utilization of materials.
- place purchase orders on time and manage changes in demand.
- monitor supplier deliveries to ensure compliance with delivery time, quantity, and quality requirements.
- follow up on supplier discrepancies (8d processes) and coordinate corrective actions as needed.
- evaluate supplier performance, collecting and validating required documentation such as quality certificates.
- continuously optimize material costs through alternative sourcing, quotations, and competitive bidding processes.
- propose material alternatives aligned with customer requirements and business needs.
- ensure compliance with applicable environmental and safety practices within the area.who you are- bachelor's degree in business administration, international trade, or engineering (mechanical, electrical, or industrial preferred).
- minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role is desirable.
- proficiency in sap for purchase order creation, reporting, and demand review.
- knowledge of incoterms and procurement processes.
- strong negotiation skills, including delivery times, lot sizes, material consignment, and total cost.
- ability to interpret technical customer requirements.
- english proficiency: ability to read and understand written communications, discuss technical topics, and maintain professional conversations.
