About the role

* contact carrier to obtain daily capacity and status of load-tendered; continue monitoring the shipment for on-time pick-up, transit, delivered, empty
* ensure correct load status in tms, e.g., loaded, pick-up, delivery, empty, etc.
* notify shipper and/or receiver of load status and reschedule pick-up/delivery appointments when necessary
* establish and maintain effective relationships with carriers, shippers and receivers through professional and timely communications and inquiry responses
* correspond with customer and carrier regarding detention information
* communicate and gain approval for expedite shipments
* identify patterns with shipper, receiver and carrier performance and recommend actions for improvement
* push customers to increase volume participation on assigned accounts

basic qualifications

* 1 year of logistics experience
* experience in a system related to tms (tracking or monitoring of shipments)
* completed bachelor's degree
* english - email and customer service (sporadic)

preferred qualifications

* experience or know of a dashboard system
* office (excel, word, ppt)
