role purpose
boart longyear is seeking a gtm country manager - mexico, who will be responsible to lead operations in mexico. This pivotal role will carry full p&l accountability and oversee commercial sales, customer service, technical services, logistics, safety, and the distributor network across the country. The successful candidate will drive sustainable growth, operational excellence, and superior customer satisfaction by aligning sales and operational strategies with corporate goals.
key responsibilities
p&l management:
* own the country's profit and loss performance, ensuring financial targets are achieved.
* analyze financial reports and key metrics to identify growth opportunities and operational efficiencies.
sales leadership:
* lead, develop, and motivate the commercialization sales team to exceed revenue targets and increase market share.
* design and implement strategic sales plans that align with corporate objectives and local market dynamics.
customer service oversight:
* manage the customer service team to deliver high-quality support and enhance customer satisfaction.
* establish customer feedback mechanisms for continuous service improvement.
technical services coordination:
* collaborate closely with technical services to provide expert product support and training internally and externally.
logistics management:
* oversee both regional and country-specific logistics operations to ensure cost-effective, timely, and accurate product delivery.
health & safety leadership:
* champion safety culture by ensuring compliance with safety policies and protocols.
* conduct safety audits, accident investigations, and develop programs to improve workplace safety awareness.
distributor network management:
* build and nurture strong relationships with distributors to maximize market penetration and streamline product distribution.
* monitor distributor performance and provide support to achieve shared business objectives.
strategic planning & market analysis:
* partner with senior leadership to develop and execute mexico's strategic growth plan.
* conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify competitive threats and emerging business opportunities.
cross-functional collaboration:
* work closely with marketing, finance, product development, and hr to ensure seamless alignment of goals and business initiatives.
* lead cross-functional projects aimed at driving innovation and enhancing operational processes.

qualifications
education:
* bachelor's degree in mining, industrial engineering, mechanical/electrical engineering, business administration, marketing, or related field. Mba preferred.
experience:
* minimum 7 years of experience in commercial leadership roles, preferably within mining, drilling, or heavy equipment industries.
* proven track record of delivering sales growth and operational excellence.
* strong knowledge of logistics, technical services, and customer service functions.
