Job description
the materials leader is responsible for assuring strict controls of material in the warehouse to meet the needs of production and the business unit's goals. You will also be responsible for reporting inventory status and ensuring established inventory levels in manufacturing process areas.
what you will do
* load and unload different transport items
* verify the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming materials
* label all products with fifo and place them accordingly
* print and fulfill kits on time
* replenish materials to the appropriate manufacturing areas
* notify when a shortage has been identified that could impact a production line
* keep a well organized and accurate stock of inventory, performing periodic cycle counts
* keep the warehouse clean and organized
* complete the forklift's check list and report potential failures
* accommodate production's returns in the proper location
* support in other tasks to keep order and provide an excellent service to other departments
what we are looking for
* high school diploma; 1 year of experience
* experience in manufacturing environment
* forklift driver certified
* ability to use a counting scale
* knowledge in kan-ban
* knowledge of manufacturing processes
* knowledge of office software (excel)
* knowledge of erp software is a plus (oracle)
