This role ensures end‑to‑end coordination of critical equipment—from procurement and logistics through installation, commissioning, and turnover—working closely with design, construction, and vendor teams.
ofci scope management
* manage all ofci equipment packages, including mechanical, electrical, it, and specialized data‑center systems (crac/crah units, ups systems, switchgear, rpps, bms/epms hardware).
* maintain an ofci responsibility matrix defining ownership, handover points, installation requirements and contractor interfaces.
* ensure equipment submittals, technical documentation, and vendor requirements are aligned with design specifications and project milestones.
procurement, logistics & delivery coordination
* track ofci purchase orders, fabrication status, logistics schedules, and delivery timelines to the jobsite.
* coordinate delivery sequences with construction teams to avoid site congestion and ensure readiness for installation.
* oversee equipment inspections on arrival, verifying quantities, conditions and compliance with technical standards.
installation readiness & contractor coordination
* communicate installation requirements, mep interface points and vendor specifications to general contractors and subcontractors.
* validate that contractors meet pre‑install conditions: slab readiness, power availability, pathways, supports, seismic anchoring and safety compliance.
* facilitate vendor/installer coordination meetings to align installation methods, sequencing and constraints.
technical support & issue resolution
* serve as the primary liaison between vendors, engineering teams and installation contractors for all ofci‑related technical questions.
* support clash detection and field engineering reviews to resolve interface issues before installation.
* track and mitigate risks related to long‑lead equipment, design changes and field conditions affecting ofci scope.
documentation, quality & commissioning
* maintain ofci logs, equipment registers, delivery records, installation progress trackers and punch lists.
* ensure all documentation (o&m manuals, warranties, factory test results, commissioning scripts) is collected and stored for turnover.
* support integrated systems testing (ist), ensuring ofci equipment performs per specification during commissioning phases.
stakeholder communication
* provide regular ofci status updates, dashboards and risk assessments to the planning, construction and project controls teams.
* attend coordination, progress and commissioning meetings to represent ofci scope and elevate issues when necessary.
qualifications
* degree in engineering, construction management, supply chain or related field.
* 5+ years of experience managing ofci, procurement, equipment integration or installation in mission‑critical or data‑center projects.
* strong knowledge of mep systems, data centre infrastructure, vendor coordination and equipment installation requirements.
* experience with construction documentation, commissioning processes and interface management.
* proficiency in tools such as ms project, primavera p6, bluebeam and sharepoint.
* fluent in spanish and english, with excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
