Responsibilities
* work with business stakeholders to understand business processes, gaps, pain points, and objectives; elicit, define, and analyze requirements
* work with cross-functional team members and stakeholders to understand functional requirements; define and design proposed solutions that meet requirements and adhere to platform and application design guidelines, strategies, and industry best practices
* contribute to completion of functional specifications; create technical design specifications
* design, develop, test, implement, and support application functionality, within the chamberlain group environment. Technology applications such as: sap, hr, ehs, microsoft applications (e.g. Sharepoint, powerapps, power automate), and application integration.
* design, development, and deployment of advanced data visualizations, providing and enabling

* develop changes to applications to meet functional and technical designs following best practices and development standards and guidelines
* collaborate with business stakeholders to create documentation and training materials, support training delivery and organizational change management
* create deliverables according to the software development lifecycle such as functional and technical specifications, use cases, test cases, and system documentation
* unit test application changes to ensure quality of work; analyze, debug, and resolve defects in applications
* ensure developed applications or tool have proper ownership and support that will continuously monitor systems to enable smooth operations; support as needed to application owners on analyze and resolve production problems in a timely manner; resolve end user service requests
* comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.

* maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
* contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.
minimum qualifications

experience:
* experience on at least one large, full lifecycle development project from design through post-go-live support
knowledge, skills, and abilities:
* strong understanding of application development tools, processes, and technologies
* strong technical understanding of client-server environments, relational databases, and database design
* strong skills in at least one of: (.net, c#, c++, java, sql, vb, powerapp, powerbi, power automation) and development experience in more than one of these is required. Proficient with ms office tools
* strong business requirements analysis skills; ability to develop alternatives, identify pros and cons, and recommend preferred systems solutions to business problems, ability to translate business reporting needs into specific technical requirements and report designs
* working knowledge of agile software development processes and how to take a solution from concept through design, development, testing, and deployment
* project management: able to create work breakdown structure and project plans and manage execution for small projects
* communicates clearly and effectively in both written and verbal communications; able to clearly explain technical solutions to a business person.
* ability to work cross-functionally and to rapidly learn and adapt to new business processes, technologies, and environments. Business relationships: builds strong relationships with stakeholders; appropriately manages stakeholder expectations; collaborates effectively
