responsibilities
* the business analyst is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating processes, systems, and user needs for planned projects based on the enterprise business plan.
* involved in developing business cases, facilitating analysis workshops, selecting the most effective solution, and defining and managing user acceptance testing (uat) to ensure it deliverables meet requirements.
* partnering with business users to gather requirements, formulate business specifications, and translate them into business functionality.
* documenting workflows and results of business analysis and obtaining sign-off from users on specifications.
* assisting the technical team in translating application functionality into application architecture and producing a business functionality requirements statement.
* works with it application analysts and programmers as necessary; analyzes department production and redesigns workflows when appropriate.
* develops, edits and maintains operating procedures and standards manuals.
* assists it staff in understanding operational needs for automated and manual solutions to business systems and procedures.
* plan, organize, and conduct detailed management analytical studies to define problems, identify deficiencies, and improve solutions affecting enterprise effectiveness; provide basis for management decision.
* communicate business directives, goals, and needs to the technical team and serve as business interface from the operational management team, managing expectations and defining satisfaction metrics.
* design and execute test plans to ensure requirements and specifications are implemented properly and meet roi objectives.
* understand long-term business objectives and suggest strategies; introduce innovation to business processes through technology when appropriate.
* assist operations staff in developing content or other materials; recommend enhancements and identify new business requirements.
* apply knowledge of system capacity to determine feasibility of projects; act as a consultant on work measurement, system studies, or cost/effectiveness analysis.
* provide assistance to organizations outside the enterprise to improve internal procedures; conduct training sessions to implement new or improved systems and procedures.
* lead meetings at all management levels for presentations, reviews, and approvals of recommendations; perform at or above performance standards for procedures development and analysis.
* assume additional responsibilities as assigned; identify areas where existing policies require change or new policies are needed and make recommendations.
experience
* minimum 8 years of overall experience on servicenow implementations including hrsd itsm and other servicenow solutions at a functional consultant/ba capacity
* at least 4 years of experience on servicenow hrsd pro at a business analyst capacity
* knowledge of the itil v3 service lifecycle and itsm, hrsd & servicenow best practices
* practical experience with agile methodologies/tools, writing user stories and sprint grooming
* strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to describe technical solutions in business terms
* experience in working with multi-vendor development environments
* interacts cross-functionally on matters requiring coordination across the organization; collaborates well with other groups
* experience of working with servicenow platform for global customers
