- responsible for establishing user-centered design processes to ensure solutions meet the needs of the business through the creation of meaningful and frictionless media, tools, and assets for employees.
- responsible for establishing consulting practices for the team to leverage when partnering with clients, such as the talent development team and the broader global talent (gt) team, to create sets of artifacts that work together as a complete experience and connect with intended audiences.
- will empower self-service across gt by ensuring the design team makes tools available to enable gt partners to create artifacts and experiences for their targeted audiences on their own.
- responsible for managing practices to ensure talent development effectiveness, including the measurement strategy for learning & development, annual learning needs assessment, and engagement across all learning platforms provided at steelcase.
- contributes to the development of the company's global talent development strategy as part of the talent development leadership team.
- leads priority projects related to the talent development strategy.
- responsible for building high-trust relationships with the talent development, talent futures, global talent, and brand communications teams to ensure alignment, partner effectively and efficiently, and produce outputs of value in alignment with the steelcase brand, employee value proposition (evp), and the company strategy.minimum qualifications- bachelor's degree in instructional design, learning & development, marketing, human resources, business administration, or related field required.
- minimum of 1 year of demonstrated leadership experience, including people leadership and/or leading complex, cross-functional projects, with accountability for team performance, capability development, and delivery outcomes.
- advanced english is a must, demonstrated fluency at all levels, through written and verbal communication.
- user-centered design solution experience is a must.
- affinity for graphic design and composition skills is a must.
- demonstrated expertise in learning management systems (lms) required - sap successfactors is strongly preferred.
- strong analytical skills with an ability to plan, analyze, present and apply data-driven insights and trends to drive continuous improvement.desired skills and experience- demonstrated accountability for team performance, capability development, and delivery outcomes across people leadership, design strategy execution, lms enablement, and stakeholder partnership.
- design thinking model knowledge is strongly preferred.
- ability to identify, assess and train team on emerging design technologies best suited to meet future needs strongly preferred.
- ability to build diverse capabilities, foster innovation, and drive continuous improvement.
