The csis security officer 2 is a developing professional role. Applies specialty area knowledge in monitoring, assessing, analyzing and/or evaluating processes and data. Identifies policy gaps and formulates policies. Interprets data and makes recommendations. Researches and interprets factual information. Identifies inconsistencies in data or results, defines business issues and formulates recommendations on policies, procedures or practices. Integrates established disciplinary knowledge within own specialty area with basic understanding of related industry practices. Good understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the objectives of the area. Develops working knowledge of industry practices and standards. Limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of the tasks/services provided. Impact of the job holder is restricted to own team.
responsibilities:
* interact with multiple businesses across the enterprise to support daily operations
* leverage subject matter expertise in physical security, safety, crisis management, security technology, event security/logistics, or vendor management
* manage daily security functions at assigned citi facilities
* oversee security and safety activities of site staff to protect premises and employees
* enforce security rules and safety standards, review and improve security procedures
* participate in training and operational exercises to ensure readiness
* report issues with security systems and equipment to maintain audit readiness
* assess risks in business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and policies, and escalating issues as needed
qualifications:
* 0-2 years relevant experience
* bachelor's degree, associate's degree with experience, or high school diploma with experience
* experience with security protocols, operations manuals, and industry standards
* ability to build relationships with external agencies
* sound judgment skills for quick decision-making
* maintain security assets in readiness
* basic understanding of security vulnerabilities and preventative measures
* experience with security & safety technology
* ability to follow instructions and report anomalies
* experience in private/public security sectors
* professional security certifications
* experience in corporate or financial services security teams
* flexibility to work on call, evenings, and weekends
education:
* bachelor's degree
