*objective*
responsible for supervising the supply chain to meet the demands of the
client, from product planning, manufacturing and plant capacity, optimizing the required
resources and processes.
*main functions*:
1. Supervise the flow of materials to meet the demands of the client. the
processes and resources (internal and external) required to produce and deliver
the end products.
2. - coordinates the processes and resources required to produce and deliver the
finished goods.
3. - assures the supply of raw material and programs short and long term needs to
maintain an optimum inventory to meet the production program.
4. Optimizes the supply chain through supplier evaluations. Maintains relationships
with clients, suppliers, contractors, customs agents and transportation companies
insuring their compliance to the organization’s policies, guidelines and
requirements.
5. - responsible for the following areas: purchasing, production and inventory control,
warehousing (raw material and finished goods) and shipping operations including
the required official customs procedures on both sides and for the ministry of
economy (secretaría de economía).
6. Responsible for product billing involved in shipping and export procedures.
7. Heads cost reduction initiatives in the company’s materials.
8. - assures the implementation of every applicable control to maintain the integrity of the inventory control system. Shares responsibility with accounting to validate the
company's information system in regards to accounts payable, inventories, cost
accounting, etc.
9. Optimizes the performance indicators of the materials area such as inventory
turnover, customer service, on time deliveries. Etc.
10. - formulates, negotiates and manages department’s objectives and budgets,
as well as the strategies and action plans to achieve those objectives. Validates
and authorizes standard operating procedures (sop) for the production and
materials control function.
*educational requirements*:professional degree and certificate program.
*experience required*:more than 5 years.
*level of english fluency*: advanced (reading and writing that allow fluid
presentations and/or participation in negotiation processes).
Intermediate(use of office: word, excel, power point,etc.) or application programs.
